Copywriting

Libra Communications provides copywriting (corporate writing) services for all forms of advertising and editorial. These separate aspects require different styles of writing.

  • Advertising Copy is designed to sell, uses adjectives and is always persuasive. The advertising copywriting platform is Attention, Interest, Desire, Action. Each message needs to tick all four boxes.
  • Editorial Copy is factual and reads like a newspaper article. You may be offered editorial as part of a feature in a newspaper if you have purchased paid advertising. This opportunity can be maximised with exactly the right words.
  • Advertorials are a crossover when you pay for the space but present the message in a style which looks like editorial. There is a disclaimer on the page saying ‘A Promotion’ or ‘An Advertisement’. These are highly effective if they are written with credibility.
  • Website copy requires simple focus and an analysis of your main features and benefits from your customer’s perspective. Keep it simple is the maxim, but don’t leave out key information either!
  • Tourism awards require submissions which analyse your business within a set criteria. With experienced professional help, your results will be easily comprehensible and on target for your category.

Public Relations & Publicity

Public Relations is communicating the attributes of your brand to a set of target audiences that you choose to engage. If you would like to know more about key message strategies and communications plans, let’s talk.

Publicity is designed to influence perceptions of products and brands. Words are the medium to reach the media, to capture the attention of the editors or journalists, who in turn use them to fill their ink and air space. Media releases contribute mostly to publicity.

Communications must be crisp and targeted. The right words in a media release count every time. No, it’s not a press release - the press was those guys in the 1950’s with hats and flashbulbs. Today, we have the media!
